Taiwan 2012 - Day 14（3 Feb) -清境

After breakfast waited for driver to drive up to 合欢山. They drove us to a main gathering point and boarded a mini bus to 合欢山. Waited for few tourist to board bus then off we go.
The driver daytona up the mountain .
Then it started to rain. And the rain became snow!! Its easy to see snow but it aint easy to see snowing!! Its super cold and we are wrap up like 肉棕！after seeing snow the driver drop us at 青青草原. Its really like switzerland! The lamb are roaming around and we can feed them too! It started to rain again then we waited at the pavilion for almost half hour then we proceed to the show. The show is to exhibit lamb fur shearing and rounding of lamb then after that went for makan. An we waited for a bus to 清境国小 for almost an hour then went back to 白熊屋for resting plus makan. Played with their kiroko as they kept her in as its raining. She is so adorable. When you scratch her massage her she will put her paw on your shoulder... We booked the driver at nt300 each to fetch us back to railway for our next destination 台南

Taiwan 2012 - Day 13（2 Feb) - 台中-清境

Went to carrefour to buy instant noodle then went back to wait for driver to 清境. Went past the old english . The hotel itself is very very nice! Check in 白熊屋。it's quite sad as they place their dog outside the house rather then letting them run around . But the view is superb!! We went out to look for makan but made our way to 7-11! Hahaha had our dinner there then went back to our room to rest the air is very cold and the only place that is warm is the bed as it has warmer..

Change 2 trains to get to 台中. We went into the first hotel (plaza hotel) that is closest to the train station to take up a room . Went to 台中公园 then to 一中街 there is a new year bazaar going on. After that took cab back to hotel to sleep . zhengyang come over from Taipei to have dinner with us at Kiki sze chuan restaurant owned by 蓝芯媚 . Then went to 逢甲夜市

Took cab to paradise hotel to look for cousin. After they boarded the cab we made our way to the train station to a place to surprise our friend !

Took a cab and book the cab driver to yangmingshan at 1600 he brought us to lots of places. Stop at mrt, roadside, other places , hotels for us to take photo . He even manged to bring us to 中山堂 which require apply of permit 2 months ago. Hahaha he just show his reporter pass and we can go in already. then after putting us back to we went to look for Polaroid film and makan . After packing luggage we made a reservation for the train ticket but we went from our room to 7-11 and fro for almost 5 times!! Just to collect our ticket!

Went for makan at normal makan outlet then took train to 淡水 what amaze me is the service of metro station. Mil was ferried by wheelchair from station to station with their security waiting outside the train to fetch my MIL. Superb!! Ate ah gei (just beancurb stuff with tang hoon) and fried mushroom . saw a store that do figurine for dogs wanted to do one for snoopy and Kiki but realized I dun really have snoopy photo w me. Then went Zhong Xiao fu xing Lu for sogo but didn't wAlk much then took cab back to hotel. Place mum back hotel then went out to buy dinner.

Took taroke gorge train to Taipei quite spacious and took only 2 hrs + to get to Taipei
Then took cab to colormix but not able to check in so webt walk around and sit at subway till 1 then check in to room and slept till 7pm then went looking for food. Saizeraya then 鱿鱼庚。then brought ah zong main Xian and 葱抓饼

Cousin Xiao gu brought us to eat 秘密鸡地，its quite cheap with 2 fish and one whole chicken and 7 more dishes @ only 2200. Then went to 鲤鱼潭，a mountain ，sugar cane factory to feed fish then to 虎爷温泉 then to 涂妈妈肉粽to buy 20 dumplings . Then go back but Kenny wanted to bring us to go makan so we went 八

At first thought they are going further but in the end after having lunch + breakfast at the baker , we are still at that orchard road and market again. We brought a lot of thing and handled the telco but it still sucks！ went poya and shop till we drop！ at night went to eat 米台目and goose meat!

Taiwan 2012 - Day 1 (21 Jan) - 桃园机场到花莲

Was packing till 2.45 am . And woke up at 4.30am!!
Went to pick eddy and he will fetch my 小白back .
we took almost 1 hour to come out of airport. And we cleared the sim card registration as well took the 1350 and was given 2350 value. 5 days of unlimited data is 350 NT call back sg was around 8.4. However no hotspot can be usEd
We booked a van to fetch us to 花莲 at 7500 the driver switch w another driver in the end we took Mr Jerry Hu's space wagon which is more comfortable . There is wifi in the car too !! Jerry is a very nice guy though it just a journey from airport to hua lian he still bother to explain.
Stop at 石碇休息站。 the Yong tau foo was so ex! It's almost S$10 per plate!!
We took the car at 1.30 pm and we reached hua lian at 7 pm!
Had steamboat at keng hse . Went out for a walk at their 'orchard' area. Then back home for slp!

CNY trip! 台湾2012 1月21日到 2月11日

Booked the jetstar ticket on aug 2011 for 6 of us to go . Us + MIL + Wan cousin + 2 girls. Since then have been looking into the details of Taiwan but did not make any conclusion! Hence we just came without making any arrangement for the accomodation in Taipei . So long as MIL have a place to slp can already

Batam - Harris Resort 12-13 Feb 2011

Went to Batam with HL & husband, Weng, for Valentine Day celebration. Brought the deals.com.sg's package at S$170 per room - 2D1N, ferry tix, 1 free pizza, 1 game of bowling, 1hr of massage, free shuttle to Nagoya.

It wasn't that smooth as Weng's boarding pass was printed wrongly however we managed to board on time. Reached Harris Batam, it was the same feeling when we went on 2005. All the staff are filled with smiles and you can hardly get it in SG.

We were staying in the new wing, which i think the old wing is better.. more cosy. Then we set off for SHOPPING!

Took the shuttle bus to Nagoya, but nothing much to shop and zw's heart was with DC Mall. hahaha. Had lunch and brought one tights. then we proceed on to DC Mall for RP 40K. DC Mall had detoriated quite a lot since we last went but the shop is still there. ZW was there 1-2 hours and tried a lot of shirts and jeans and he went back with 7 pcs of clothes!

After that had snack at KFC (the A&W there had closed down!), then went to the supermarket. Brought fireworks from the supermarket itself. Dinner at Godiva coffee. We saw the salon that we last went so we went for wash & blow service, and our hair like 60s like kena bomb!! hahaha then took cab back to Harris.

Went back to room to put things then went down for fireworks. Was accompanied by their security guard to the beach for the fireworks. next time have to buy the bigger ones hahaha... small one no kick... hahaha... then went back to room to bath and indonesian massage at HSpa at 11pm.

the massage was very good. 2 in a room, almost all of us fell asleep. the atmosphere is very relaxing. though we were their last customers for the day they are still professional enough making us as cosy, comfortable as possible.

Woke up around 8.30 for breakfast. Breakfast wasn't as good as before, average ... stil had our eggs hahaha. then played GoKart for S$15 per 10 mins, Battlefield pinball for $25 per pax for 200 bullets, Pistol shoot for $15 per pax for 50 bullets, foot reflex for 1hr for $17 per pax, bowling free with package. A lot of activity but Expensive!

Had our pizza when waiting for their shuttle bus back to terminal. The pizza is nice. not very 'flour' .

We were the 1st to enter the custom and look for the best seat in the ferry! The spirit of ME!! hahhaa

Think we spent almost 800 SGD for these 2 days! faint...

Snoopy has left peacefully to another world at 4 Sep 2010 0545hrs at Mount Pleasant Hospital (Whitley). He was weight at 6.05kg.

He has been with us for 13 years and in this 13 years, he has brought us happiness, jitterness, gan cheongness, comfortness, sadness... Though the cause is not very clear but what we know it has to do with the brain. He was cremated and place in The Pet Hotel Columbarium #3102. He has neighbours surrounding him and is at the 1st level with his favourite snack, food, leash and his handsome photo with him.

Honeymoon - Kao Hsiung to Taipei- 6 Mar 10

Our bus took the expressway back to Taipei, along the way we saw Sakuras!! who say only Japan have... And they are beautiful too!!

Reached Taipei at around 1plus already too hungry!! ate Dan dan noodle. nothing much... like zha jiang mian.. We had to stay at 台北故宫博物院 for 2 hours... went walking for a while then went to the cafe for tea and had Haagan Das. ZW say its cheaper in TW then in SG. The toilet signs are so cute! they feature those 公公 and 宫女 hahhaa.

It began to get colder as we are into middle of the day... we went to the Taipei 101 for window shopping. Went to the 小南门传统豆花 as recommended by 小杨. the beancurd is very smooth and the red bean is nice!!! We went into DKNY shop and saw 1 bag which seems nice!! but its around SGD 600!! expensive... hahaha.. 不舍得买. i can go for another holiday with this 600 ... u know!! hahaha.. Went to Coach to help eileen to see her wristlet. but we didn't buy cos its about 100. so we have to try our luck in HK.

小杨brought us to the tibit shop, vigor kobo, to buy souvenirs. its quite high class and cater to mostly tourist. so we didn't buy much.. think outside is cheaper. Last thing in our tour schedule is 士林观光夜市. And we begin our MAKAN venture again!! wanted to go to the mutton soup that 小杨 recommend but too many ppl so we skip that and went to the BBQ stall!! SOTONG!!! NICE!! 微笑碳烤 everything $11 only sotong is more expensive. Next nice one is 家乐鱿鱼大王。。 walking through the shops everywhere seems to sell almost same same things. We went to one of the souvenir shops to buy those confectionary items and sepnt almost $100 SGD!! 恐怖!!

中源大饭店 http://www.nc-hotel.com.tw/pricelist.php Our Hotel seems nice and just beside it is 24 hours supermart le. So convenient and nearby also have 宁夏夜市. The room is quite new but we are given 2 single beds... but its already full le so ew just have to stick to it...

Honeymoon - Tainan to Kao Hsiung- 5 Mar 10

Woke up quite early for breakfast. Its only when boarding the bus then we know that there are caravans around too. :) next is travelling again ... along the way stopped at fruit store for toilet and buying of fruits. the fruits there seems very fresh.. but didn't get a chance to eat lychee though... Next we reached 美浓民俗村 for hakka tradition. Didn't do much there as there is nothing much!!

佛光山 is the next place we went, makan there as well. We just went to one of the temple then the tour guide told us if wan to wait at the entrance can proceed to walk on our own and meet up then. We directly went to the wishing well and try our luck. I did hit one of the bell!! then we went down to the meeting area to see see look look around.

The final city that we went is 高雄. the day before it had a earthquake of 6 plus but when we are there everything seems normal. We had to go to the 'so-call' must go places for tourist!! 台湾水产试验所！What place is this?? a place where they sell all those pearls and powders!! 小杨says that the govt actually make it a must for tourists to visit these type of place.. hai.. waste of time. Next is 莲池谭. basically its just 1 tiger and 1 dragon in a small lake... and nothing much le... heard form one of the tour mates that the clouds can actually alert the people whether would there be earthquakes coming.. Earthquake cloud!! Next is shopping!! 梦时代. We went for their ferries wheel, Hello Kitty & Sanrio Friends 摩天轮， and my section is Sanrio!! they even have plush figurines of them in the car itself. It was only 6 plus where its also quite dark le... nothing much to shop at 梦时代. heard from one of the waitress that they are having lantern festival at 爱河 and have FIREWORKS!!

Luckily we managed to get there on time and saw the fireworks. after that we took the 爱之船 to tour around 爱河. Thanks to the lantern festival that we actually saw the decorated 爱河. We had to walk back to our coach as the road are block already. 高雄信宗大飯店 is our hotel in Kao Hsiung. We were so tired that we didn't went out to explore...

Honeymoon - Hualien to Tainan - 4 Mar 10

Earthquake early in the morning!!! I felt when we were having our breakfast but zw didn't feel it. Nervous, kan cheong, watching out for signs of running... i held on to our bags in case we need to run!!After a while, it just stop. then the waitresses came out to have a look... We also carry on eating our makan. In the bus, we told 小杨 that there was a earthquake and he didin't feel it too. Then i was just thinking am i the only one who felt this?? but some of our group mates also say they felt it... luckily i'm not the only one. then we went to Taroko National Park 太鲁阁国家公园。 Recently there is a case of a falling rock hitting a tourist causing his death hence we were not allowed to roam far... but the mountains were very very nice, scenic. We do see the devastation of the 8 Aug Flood that had made to the environment as well. The coach went passed a small expressway (东西横贯公路） the statues of the lions were place along the road and were very cute, each of them have different expression. Next is makan then a visit to the local jade/granite factory 石之屋. We were shown how granite and jade surfaced and also talks on their jade.

鹿野溪游季温泉 is our next destination! we were travelling along the road where greenery of their rice plants welcome us. It really amazing to see a whole patch of land with plants planted in a well-organized manner. We stopped at a traffic light when i felt it again. 小杨 rush up to tell us that its shaking again. We could see the lamp post are shaking.. then he told us that 高雄 and 台南 area hit by 6 magnitude earthquake and the destruction is unknown... the one that we had experience is about 3 magnitude... so scary... cos we would be heading to 台南 shortly. When we reached the hotspring its already almost 6 le. We quickly go for the individual rooms to have a dip. To me, hot bath is not my kind, so i needed cold water as well. The place is quite run down which is why there isn't alot of ppl there.

小熊渡假村is the main highlights of the tour. We are the ONLY group in that resort. Makan again but the rice is very very very nice. This is the best rice that we had taken in our trip. hahaha... then we were told of our rooms. We share the cottage with a "mother & son" but in the end we had to change room as the ground level room was full of ANTS!!!! so suay... We were change to another cottage of 3 rooms but we only utilise the ground level room. Then we out for their so call "welcome party". Played few rounds of BINGO then some games then they had display of fireworks and launching of 天灯. We wrote "早生贵子，天天开心，身体健康，发大财！！"

After that is own time own target, so we went to buy 2 rounds of firework to play with. This is the second time that we release firework on our own but i still dun dare to fire it. hahaha... so zw have to do it and i just stand there and film it!! hahaha... and its not expensive at all, only S$20+. Played basketball machine, arcade games, then bed is the next thing we head to... these few days the travelling had drain a lot of our energy, i didn't travel tour group before, so its quite taxing on me...

Honeymoon - Taipei to Hualien - 3 Mar 10

Met our tour guide 小楊 at 740am then went around fetching the rest of the group. 忠烈祠 is the first place to go. It is a memorial for those soldiers who died during the revolutions and the only attracting point is the shift changing parade. Next is 野柳地質之園, where one of the stones look like queen's head. lunch is at 九份古之街. the beef noodles, 舊道口牛肉麵, were nice. Before that it was a gold mine. We tried the 五味綜合魚魚丸湯 but i didn't like the fishball in taiwan, it wasn't bouncy. We went past 蘇澳 to go to 馬祖廟。that was the last stop before we embark on 3 hours of journey without any resting point. The journey was tough and our bus are travelling around the mountain hence throughout the journey we were tossing around. and it seems very dangerous. when i looked down we were like inches to the end of the mountain. BUT the scenary is the best. its facing the pacific ocean hence it seems like no boundaries.

Its around 6pm when we reach the aborgines showcase, 南島文化劇場. it was a series of dance and at the end of it they pull audiences down to take photo with them and they charge 400NT!! hahaha... after that is makan at 花蓮 then we checked into 麗格hotel. At first when we are see the room, we went down to change cos its twin bedded. I wasn't able to sleep if i were to sleep alone in a unfamiliar place. the receptionist wasn't able to change, lucky my tour guide talked to the manager, they upgraded our room to a very big room and in the room there is SPA facilities!! We went out to find ZW's cousin shop. We tried calling her but the phone number is wrong. we went into her branch, Fragrance, (which was just outside our hotel) and saw her sis in law. ZW communicated with her and managed to find cousin. I think its fate that we saw her sis in law cos she wouldn't be in this shop for long as she have to go around delivering buns. But luckily that shop's pump was spoilt so she came over to repair. At first she didn't recognised zw, she thought we are cousin's tenant. In the end her sis in law send us over to another shop, a cafe, to wait for her. When cousin and her husband came, we chatted for a while then we went over to her house to visit her mum in law. Her mum in law is blind but she is very healthy and alert. She is full of smiles when she felt zw and me. then after that we went over to cousin house which is just above her mum in law. I showed our wedding photos to cousin and we took photo as well. Her dog is very cute very active. After that we went to their night market, it is between 和平路 and 自強路, but its already quite late so a lot of things are closed. 來來鹹酥雞and 第一家烤肉串are closed. We ate the 法式官財板 and 阿川大腸蚵仔麵線臭豆腐專賣店. The 鴨血湯 and the 黑胡椒牛肉官財板 are very very nice!! I even had 2 serving of the soup!!! my craving at least has been fulfilled!!

After that they sent us back to hotel and its already 1am, we tried operating the spa facilities but dunno how. it took us some time before we get it working properly. We slept around 2am and the next morning have to get up at 6.30!!

Honeymoon - Singapore to Taiwan - 2 Mar 10

Packed bag till 2am and woke up around 5 to prepare. By 5.50am we are in the cab to Airport!! the cab was speeding at 120-130km/hr!! and the display that they had actually indicated "Please slow down", "please drive carefully". Reached airport to check in with our luggage at 18.6kg and ate at the airport canteen. went through the internet and saw that there will be a drop in temperature in TW on Saturday onwards - we would just have to wait and see. In plane to HK, they have fish porridge & tomato omelette and transit at HK. Then took plane to TW and they served pork bun (nice!!).
When reached the driver drove us to our hotel - Unite Hotel (統一大飯店). Room have 2 queen bed and bath room as well. We went out to search for makan!! it is not so close to the main area. Hence we had to walk to mrt, we were only wearing shorts but the temperature is quite low - trembling... Along the way, we ate goose meat and mee sua, chong you jian bing, muah chee. we took the mrt (Houshanpi) to wufenpu to buy my clothes and ate the chicken cutlet and bbq sotong. It is quite close to rou he night market - ate lamp soup and lu rou fan and green bean soup. Then took cab back to hotel.

We are back... didn't really gotten use of the weather back here.

We experienced the earthquake and the sudden drop of temperature in this trip.. what an experience!!

Overall its very tiring... and we have to work the very next day!!

HONEYMOON!! - Phuket - 15-20 Dec 2009

Travel!! my favorite. We chose Phuket cos that time we did not even relax, just taking photos. Of course massage is in our menu all days!!

15 Dec - We checked out of Parkroyal and rush back to pack our luggage for the trip. Makan at burger king before entering the airport area. This is the first time that I'm taking not a budget airline. Dinner and drinks was served and of course the service cannot be compared with budget!! We reached Phuket, took taxi over to Mercure. When we enter the room, we were 'wow', its quite nice despite the price that we paid. We went for makan!! and also hotel room searching!! Went to holiday inn, marroit, merlin and so forth.. but the pricing is quite steep though the hotel is nice.

16 Dec - hotel searching again!! stumble upon a local hotel Bliss hotel - suite + double jaccuzzi for 270!! quite nice room. we booked online for 1 night and deevana - 2 night. Went walking around and saw PAT!! was going to call him but luckily he saw us! Ate at a small cafe opp mercure - the red wine roast chicken is nice!!

17 Dec - dragged our luggage to the Bliss hotel and spent the rest of the day in the hotel. Woo hoo!! jaccuzzi for 2 pax!! then makan at merlin - buffet. ZW treat the performer each 1 bottle of beer. Went to the beach to put 'kong ming' lantern and also FIREWORKS!! shoik!! 200 baht for 9 rounds of firework!! ZW do the honour and i film down!! hahaha

18 Dec - Check out from Bliss and Pat drive us to Deevana put things liao then go play!! We went for mountain biking!! Tired but fun!! but half way through i almost drove down the slope!! was scared so i let the driver drive down a bit and i walked down haha... then we wanted to go jetski but Pat told us they will charge very high price if crash. so next we went to the warehouse - wholesale centre. shopped for almost 3-4 hours then went to the cashew nut factory to buy the local products. We had our very nice makan at a small restaurant. then back to hotel. then we went shop around again.

19 Dec - took shuttle bus to Junceylon for shopping. Spent hours there from 11am - 8pm... and took cab back with our victory - lots of clothes and a big luggage bag!! we went for our

20 Dec - Pat drove us to airport at 7 using his brother pickup!! Eddy came to pick us up and went to east coast for makan.

in total we almost spent 2K!! but its enjoyable!!

Big Big Day!!! - Evening

5pm, ZW and coordinators went for briefing and i am upstairs waiting for Ophelia and my mum. Ophelia came in around 5.15pm. Told my mum to reach at 3.45 in the end she came in around 520pm with her morning makeup still put on. The 2nd MUA have to wait for her to wash up before continuing. It was quite hectic, as ppl kept calling, asking when the items are placed, pushing us to go down, can't find ppl, AND WE ARE LATE FOR OUR SOLEMISATION!!

Our JP reached at around 630pm and i wasn't ready yet. they waited almost 20-25 mintues. Luckily, he didn't have another appt later otherwise i be left with no JP!! Finally aroun 6.50pm we ran down for ROM. The JP is still smiling, waiting for us to march in. He briefed us the importance of marriage. We choose the shortest one. hahaha... When saying, ZW kept on looking at the paper. then when my turn, i wanted to make the situation not too solemn, i have to gao siao abit. hahaha

After exchanging vows, we took photos, then we realised that the recept are full of ppl. Ophelia had to touch up my makeup and i forgotten to take money. So ask SZ and PX to go up take.

During reception, we ran around talking to ppl and taking photos/polariods for my scrape book. though we used almost 200 pcs, we only have around 40 pcs paste on my scrape book.

830pm, our first march in - I can love you like that.

after 2nd dish went up to change. then had my makeup touch up at the ROM room cos my hotel is too HOT!!

Morning highlights then 2nd march in -Zuo Ni De Gong Zhu with my surprise, though ZW didn't catch much. Mingyong and Laoda done it for me smooth smooth!!

Champange Pouring - I Swear then Yam Seng then Speech from us. then phototaking session.

Kena tekan by Brothers. then went out to send off guest around 1030pm. After everything is over, sister tekan, i drink a bit and his brother bottoms up!! Sisters helped to bring up everything

We settle the bill at the room and we ended the day by eating scissors curry rice!!

BIG BIG DAY!! - morning

had done my mani/pedicure till 11pm then reached home paste the Xi sticker. Without Ah Hee's help, i think all is not done well!! Slept at 2am. Woke up at 4am to prepare. Winnie reached at 4.30am. i realised her breakfast is very delicious. Maybe i'm hungry.. hahaha..
Ophelia reached around 4.45 with her helper. Then started to makeup. She told me she will be putting on flowers for me. i feel her helper wasn't too good. Kena scolded by Ophelia so many times and put on a sulky face. Its a good lesson for Winnie as well, she learned as Ophelia do the makeup for me... then slowly, Jiemeis started to stream in - Esther, PX, SZ, Alda.

They started to make preparations for the tekan!!

Ophelia went off without putting on the veil for me!! then my sis in law helped me with the veil. So frustrating!! my mum kept on telling must give ang bao to "her"!! So fed up, she didn't do anything my mum still want me to give $20 to her. I nearly blow up!! even my ting ting get lesser then her and she didn't do anything!! i told her if she want to pack, she pack for her.

Ah Di went to fetch grandparent and came back with lots of dian xin. hahaha... had a few pcs of siew mai cut into pcs for me!! nice!! Esther fed me with the maggi mee that they prepare (without martini)

ZW party came early. around 615am reached liao. But my jiemei still haven't done yet. so have to wait.

When they are ready, they went down. I could hear my mum said wah the number of cars are alot and very qi pai!!

They had their 2 games downstairs then the rest upstairs.
1st - to form a heart shape at the car park
2nd - ZW to hang grapes, celery at his vital parts and for the XDs to bite
3rd - Eat curry maggi mee with martini
4th - to pass pieces of heart around and paste it
5th - search for key at my mum's flower pot
6th - Read out loud contract

Ang Baos given to my Jiemei are mixtures of lots of $1 gold coins, $2s, $100 bill as well

The pig was brought in for my dad to chop. then nearly forgotten about the whole family photo.

After that we rushed to basketball court for some shootings. luckily the weather is good and not much ppl. Dribbled some balls and thrown flower then back to ZW house. Luckily in time for 9am. Thanks to my time keepers!!

At ZW house, took photos with the tang yuan and the lightings then tea ceremony. Changed to Kua.

Back at WL house, tea ceremony, released Louis and all.

Only Zhicong came with us to the hotel. labeled the tea ceremony angbao then I took a nap, ZW is still stressful on the seating arrangement with some more coming.

Met Ganesan at hotel lobby and there's one wedding on that day.. so we managed to view the actual setup and the reception area. but that wedding is only 8 tables hence the whole room seem very empty.

We took the oriental theme.. cos my mum prefer RED!! then desert and cold dish change...

my wedding favor... didn't get what we at first wanted.. hahaha.. let my guest guess ba..

Ring Engravement - 29 Nov

Went to Suntec Soo Kee to find Phoebe to collect our ring engravement.

When i first saw the words i was like... why the engravement so messy one.. then i dunno how to voice out... then i look at the rest of the rings.. all is almost the same effect.. then i ask zw to see again.. then Phoebe say got anything just say out.. then i told her its seems to be very messy. She told the ring and wipe it. then pass to me... hahahaha... its the fur of the box that make the wording so messy... scared me!!

hahaha.. Its nice!! just that for my proposal ring and my wedding band's font size is smaller. zw one big!! now she is helping me to find the box to put my 3 dian jin!!

Childhood Montage - 1 Dec

Met Louis at Yew Tee again.

My first impression of the DVD that he gave to me is that... how come he know i like these photos... Was very very satisfied with the montage... Good work!! Louis will be coming in at 5.30am to 11am (5.5 hr) and from 630pm to 11pm (4.5 hr). There's early charge of $100 for coming in before 6am.

Now then i know that i need to rehearse - putting on ring... hahaha!! Louis say must practise to make sure that it doesn't stuck when putting in.

I am looking forward to seeing my wedding highlights!!

Went for my final fitting. Winnie and Huiling's family came together with us to give some opinions.

Tried on my gowns and it needed alteration!!! well to my surprise it is to alter to smaller !! hahaha... then tried on the accessories. Wasn't much choice for me and the accessories are quite old lei... no choice...

Zhiwei's suit also fits well!! another 10 more days!!

Hen's Night!! wow!!

at first i thought i didn't think i will have any hens night.. cos i'm such a nerdy, so nothing much will happen but my JMs done it again!! You have liven up my night!!

When i was told that we will be having our hens night ( in my mind, i was thinking, what will they do? Something exciting? the scene that i imagine was just a hotel stay with games played) I wasn't given much info and was told to wait for the day to come and to dress casually and to fetch esther on that day.

It starts :

Esther sms me to go over to her sis house to fetch her. I was late and told her that i will wait for her downstairs while she get her things done. She called me to go up to help her carry items. i went to the wrong block at first and kept on finding her sis place, then i realised that i was in the wrong block. When i went over to the correct place, my first thought was will they have a surprise for me i.e. do the party at her sis place?

My intuition was correct!! Door open, and the thing that caught my eyes is the decoration and i was sure that its correct! I was welcome with poppers and was presented with wedding couple bear and balloons!! They really meant it for the wedding bear!! i still remember that when i first told them about my wedding they told me that they will settle the wedding bear and there it was!! Luckily i haven't brought my bears yet!! Then come the phototaking session and MAKAN time!! pizzas (Boston pizza - 3 for $37.80!! Cheap!!) + sushi + calamari + sparkiling juices!!

SZ and i went down to take items and also to put coupons. Distributed the wedding cards as well as to brief them on the items that they need to do...

Next is the SHOOTERS AND LADDERS!! We had our fun, laughters, shared our darkest deepest secret and also our most intimate belonging as well!! hahaha.. we replaced the SHOOTERS with lemons and pegs!! I think the whole block could hear our laughters!! (at first i thought the party would end in the house but it was just the beginning) We changed into our JM's clothing.. we went over to ZW side to pass him the leftovers that we had. He was having his XD briefing as well. He had quite a bit of drink when we reached... hahaha

next we left for our next destination Le Meridian - Club Zinc!! I was told that at there, Ladies are the queens and guys are the slaves!! Wee wu Wee!! hahaha

At first quite cold scene cos we dun know what will happen next so we just sit around and chat. The waiter was good. We ordered a jug of Volka cranberry ($40) and they free us a jug of orange squash. The manager came over and spoke to us about their promotions and how we can treat his guys to a drink - $12 for a shot and $60 for a glass!! (that was so expensive!! i might as well treat myself hahaha) Then the show begins when SZ told him that we are coming for our hens night and i am the lead cast!! He became so excited and told me that if i go up the stage and sing a song with his guys, we will be given a champange free!! and he start rearrange the furniture and bring in a big sofa and next a whole group of guys surrounded us and started to rearrange us as well... in the end i was seated at a big sofa with 2 guys, i pulled Winnie to sit with me.. hahaha..
The guy who was assigned to me is quite guai one, phew, i was relieved!! We just talk for a while and played some guessing game throughout the night.. hahaha.. We played the, pouring water into a glass that is in the middle of a bucket, and also the 10, 15, 20 game. Our forfeit at first was PLAIN WATER.. quite paiseh... hahhaa... no choice... we dun drink!! but very soon, a bottle of Chivas was brought to our place. It was my JM's idea to buy that Chivas!! In the mid of the night, our guys suddenly left the place, left only the guai one to play with us. Winnie told me got police check. The plain clothes police surrounded the pub but they did not disturb any of the customers. When they left, our guys come back again.. i sang Xiao Wei with 3 of the guys and Alda accompanied me on the stage. Thanks GIRL!! towards the end of the night, we are still left with a lot of liqour so we pour a lot of it into the guys drink.. hahha.. so that we can go home faster!!

As my limit of liqour is quite low, i exchange my drink to plain water after 3 cups of liqour mixture.. hahaha.. toilet is the next place that i visited for my stay in that location!! I went to the toilet for 5-6 times!!

When we left, the guys accompanied us out, I was thinking is it because we didn't give them tips so which is why they follow us out.. hahaha.

It was quite a interesting & exciting night for me, and i believe my JMs as well!! Thanks for all the effort!!

The printout were nice!! at least better then what we saw in softcopy. Gotten back the softcopies from Jess as well. But have placed only 4 pics in Facebook.

Next we went to Bishan to buy FIL's shoe & shirt and a bag for MIL.

Met up with Ganesan to collect the invitation cards and to ask questions on 15 Oct. then 22 Oct sent him confirmation on the food tasting.

30 Oct = 1st meeting between both families cum food tasting

I thought we are going to be serve in a private room but we are being seated in the middle of the restaurant with a few noisy tables around us. and they won't allow us to bring in wine and wanted to charge corkage. we brought along this wine is to see whether it match with what the hotel provides on our actual day. since we brought it might as well open it to drink. I called ganesan and for them to settle on it. 1st impression - not so good.

At first service was prompt, after that our plates are not really cleared on time and our plates are full with prawn shells and fish bone then they change for us.. Car park coupon only give us 1 pcs. i have 3 cars with me how to use 1 pc. then i call ganesan again. he came down with the coupons and we told him about our remarks on the food. and they did not serve the red bean paste as promise. make us so sian..

Overall : the food are not that fantastic.. just so - so but what to do.. budget ma. quantity not a lot. my in laws ate liao then come which is why is enough.

Our menu:

cold plate - chestnut rolls, baby octopus, spring roll, prawn salad, shark fin omelete
remarks : will be changing the omelete as cannot see much shark fin and 1st impression was : how come serve egg??

Braised Shark Fin
remarks : become watery after drinking few sips of the soup but the shark fin really can see.

Roasted Crispy Chicken
remarks : its quite bloody. not well cooked

Steam fish in thai sauce
remarks : quite unique. taste a bit like tom yam. not bad

Steam live prawn
remarks : ate a few not so fresh prawns

Mushroom with spinach
reamrks : taste is just nice.

Lotus leaf rice
remarks : taste is just nice.

remarks : nothing fantastic - will change it to yam paste (add $$)

Met up with Steven on Sunday. Feel a bit pai seh cos he is not working on sunday is just because zhiwei won't be available hence he would have to meet us on Sunday. Steven is very experience in handling these invitation card. It didn't took us long to confirm the layout!!

Sent the invitation card to him on 16 Oct.

2nd version of Bridal layout - 1st Oct 09

Have gotten the edited layout from Jess on 29 Sep but the more i see the more i feel not right. Hence i asked Eileen and Puayling to see for me... All of them say its too messy and the yellow/red too contrasting. Hence zw called Jess to let her know we are coming down on 1st Oct to review the photos. I have done up a few of the photos to let her have a feel of what we wanted.

She wasn't happy to see us change so much and she mentioned why so late then want to change might be too late. i wanted rebuke her that when i ask her to give me soft copy of the photos for me to go home see she dun want ma.. i proved myself (with what others felt) that what i felt is correct of course i wanted to change...

When i compare both my works with others, mine is like secondary work and others were like poly/jc standard, that makes me regret further...

After going through our changes, i asked her for the soft copy of our photos and she say she will only give us when everything is ok. i was like... WTF!! my montage need these photos to do lei.. and i need to forward to Louis soon... then she say i can give you all the photos now but whatever changes that will be made to the photos, we won't be getting it... We ask her to provide us with the remaining 20+ photos that were not edited first... She say why we needed that first.. its not edited... and what's so @#$%^& is she kept on saying we can choose that 20+ photos later. but we have already choosen it when we choose all the photos!! she kept insisting we did not choose and make it as if its our fault...

after we explain, she say why not you choose the photos again and its just 20+ photos out of 200 photos should be easier.. WTF!!! so not professional.. knowing that we are getting irritated, she left us to choose the photos.. zw was so angry that he mumble loudly so that the other lady who is putting on her trial makeup can hear... then he walked out of the shop. i told Jess that we are not so happy and ask her to find it.. Half an hour later, she called to say she found it... It already dampen our mood

Took my mum with us to JHC to view the layout of the ablum. To my surprise she didn't really talk about how bad it is.. hahaha... maybe to her, her ugly duckling became a swan (hmm.. i didn't say its a beautiful swan ar) at that moment??

When i say something is not right she will keep on saying its ok. so having difficulties... but at least i made my point through lo... she is like rushing us... but i slowly see... few thousand thing lei... can rush meh??

I actually wanted to bring back and have a closer look at the layout but she say cannot... sian.. luckily i made quite a few amendments cos she said she will email to me the layout after edit. so i have more time to get comments.. hahaha

Went to view our shots taken in Phuket at Kai's house as usual we are greeted by her 3 dogs!! her dogs were fun... looking back at the days where snoopy and kiki were active then...

The shots were well taken. loved the rings taken together with the rose. the jumping photo also leave deep impression!! hahaha..

Selected some shots for Kai to enhance. Though some differences in thoughts but at least the photos didn't waste our time and effort and $$!! hahaha!!

Waiting for the shots to be processed before we can hand over to Louis to start on the montage.

Selection of Bridal Photos - 1st Aug 09

We actually had our selection on Monday 27 Jul but looking at the photos half way ZW wasn't feeling very well so we come again... we were not that satisfied with the shots taken but still ok la... hahaha...

After looking at the photos on Monday, we are quite 犹豫 whether to take the full package of $2500 -> take back all photos and put around 80 photos in 30pg album or just our 40 photos... we have only shortlisted 93 photos out of the 300plus photos... i have not even filtered these 90 over photos... After thinking through we decided not to take the package... but its very hard for me to cut photos... then when we are there on Sat, i ask ZW to filter the photos whereby it seems very hard for him as well...

While we are in our misery, Jess propose another option for us $2K - take back 93 photos and put 70 over photos in the 30 pg album.. seem like 没诚意. so after discussing with ZW i went back to cut photos. In one shot i managed to cut till left 46 photos. Not only ZW was astonished, Jess was totally black!! Zw's first comment was, 你把整个精华都选出来了。 I was so proud of it!! hahaha... at the back of my head, i was thinking.. i have to save $$, save $$...

Then Jess offer us another deal of which we think we are quite ok with it... then we took it... we used another 2 hours choosing the frame of our photos, the poses for our ablum and as well as the small album. This deal cost us another $1640... So tight on our pocket liao... hai..

At last another thing off our mind!!

Pre-wedding Photoshoot - Phuket 18 Jul 09

After breakfast, we took photo outside the hotel's dustbin... hahaha... very werid hor... but if i no say you also dunno that is a dustbin!! we checked out at 11 and place all our luggage in Pat's car..

We went back to Karon beach again but this time, we went to the beach area... the air is much fresher and more windy there but it seems to be quite sunny today... In order to take photo of us, Kai even laid on the sandy ground... her whole shirt was sanded hahaha...

We ate at a mountain area over looking Nai harn Beach. Though it is quite expensive but the atmosphere is very good!!. After makan, we went to a rubber plantation to take some photos... i like it there cos not so sunny and its very plantation look!! the trees there are very 整齐. one row by row... next we went to the end of Nai Harn beach to take photo as well as take in the car... we saw ppl paragliding ... it seem so relax... but think we will take a shorter time to land hahaha...

Actually the Nai Harn Beach is our last stop but ZW feel that his shirt is very smelly so got Pat to drive us to buy some T-shirt... the T-shirt quality is good. We brought it at Phromthep Cape stores... at first we thought it will be more expensive but 140 for that tshirt is ok.

Our last destination the Airport. It took us 45-1hr to reach the airport and in the mid way the whole traffic was stopped for the delegates of dunno what conference to pass through before we can proceed ahead...

Ate Chester grill at the airport... at first we thought we can buy subway in the terminal but they only have it outside... so no choice... But Kai and ZW brought a normal brand ice cream at 190 baht - almost S$8 for 2 pieces!! 杀人放火！

Our flight was delayed for half an hour, Wee Kiat came to fetch us. Sent both Wee Kiat and Kai back before we head back to our home sweet home. Luckily the next day is a Sunday!!

Pre-wedding Photoshoot - Phuket 17 Jul 09

Woke up quite early @ 7.30am to dry the shorts and converse shirt.

Then prepare the things to go for photo shoot... today will be a long long day!!!

Ate breakfast then meet Pat ar 9.10am at lobby. At first he took us to elephant trekking.

The baby elephant was so funny, he will see us coming with the bananas then he grab the bananas from your hands. the elephant ride was very expensive - 900 per pax. i bargained from 1000 to 900 baht. i thought of going down further but the shop owner told us how pitiful the elephants were and their maintenance fee... make me feel very bad so we agreed on 900. But after thinking over... the 900 how much is being used for he elephant?? most probably they will pocket most of it ...
i think they thought Kai and I will take one elephant and Zw to take the other one... but like this how to take photos?? So Kai took the 1st elephant and both of us in the 2nd elephant... The elephant 好可怜. hahaha... the ride up the trek was very adventurous for both of us and the elephant... Cos the trek is quite steep, we thought the chair will topple over.. so we hold on to both side very very tightly... 好生不如死啊. then i started talking to the elephant and make friend with him and i named him DUMBO hahaha... people see us like we siao like that... Kai's elephant was pooing all over... not toilet train.. hahaha... DUMBO better.. will walk to one side poo... but he is very 贪吃 walk a bit then will eat the grass... By the time DUMBO is back to his shop, he was like panting liao... hahaha... We didn't take much photos as Kai wasn't able to stablise her camera, we did took some using our camera.

Then went to Karon beach. We changed money and brought some drinks there... the beach there is quieter. Then go up to Karon Viewpoint. it overlooks quite a few beaches. We took a few photos at the staircase as well as some of the points. We wanted to take at a certain angle but always got ppl around... so disrupting... but can't get the feel so we didn't take liao...

Next is Rawai beach. heard from taxi uncle that this place quite ok but reached there... there's nothing!! only boats... NOT NICE!! but we managed to take photos at one of its bar - Chocolate Bar... we brought some drinks from them and we took picture in its bar... but some of the drinks already expired... hai... no wonder no ppl at his place la... luckily we got see the expiry date. Went back to change and took some pictures with a boat then left. Kai sat in front cos if there is any place she want to take she can tell Pat to stop.

Pat brought us to Phuket shooting range but there's nothings for us to shoot.. so we left without going for any program... he wanted us to go for the snake show... but snake got what thing to see. next is lunch. he brought us to a place near the Phuket Zoo for makan... the makan there not nice and expensive!! maybe he can get commission for it which is why he keep on asking us to go to these type of places....

The places that we were brought to are not so good for photo shoot so... we talked to him telling him that we wanted to take photo - no shopping no show... but he is also quite pitiful.. only going for these type of places then he can get more money, more discount in petrol. so we told him we will go to a cashew nut factory to buy things then after need to bring us to places that is good for photo taking liao.. At the cashew nut factory, kai brought a lot!! hahaha i think she spent 1000 plus ba... me only brought a few packs of banana chips, ikan billies etc. Pat stopped by a petrol station to pump petrol... It is almost 300 baht imagine our whole day fare was just 600...

Finally Pat know what we wanted so he brought us to a Thai house... It is really nice... think some of it is still not taken up so we went to the balcony to take some. then there is a small car there.. some we took photos there too... but its fun... cos i am seated on the chair (relax) and Zhiwei is there jumping away (very siong).. hahaha.. luckily there is no traffic accident... hahaha.. Really.. only when you are not in SG then you can do a lot of crazy things...

We went back to karon beach to walk around and Kai brought a hat. We walked through the pub area and took some photos there... Next is Phromthep Cape to see sunset!!! Had a terrible experience in the toilet there... there were a group of tourist they went in the ladies together and made it very very crowd... they just push around... normally we will queue up to go into the toilet... they went straight past you and waited at other cubicle. so fed up with them.. had to squeeze through them However the weather isn't that good... can't see the sunset.. but its very windy and the sea there very beautiful!! Very soothing... but a lot of ppl... there is a slope going further down the hill... but too dangerous liao so we stay up in the hill... We waited around 1 hour plus.. not much signs of being able to see the sunset, we took a few photos and proceed to another area to take... there is a road where there are not so many ppl walking... we took some photos there barefeet.. (so eager to see these few photo) then went to a 街头艺术表演者 to take photo as well..

After that Pat brought us to the shopping mall, Jungceylon, in Patong. We went to food court for dinner but also quite expensive... 3 person with 4 main course 370 baht.. On the way back to back hotel, we stopped by a T-shirt vendor - kai brought 12 T-shirts from them.. but still no discount... we didn't buy any.. After that we walked passed by a massage shop, Emotions. The massage is very good at least for mine. so relax... so reluctantly we walked back to hotel after massage. It was quite close to our hotel!! next time must GO!!

We slept very soundly...

Pre-wedding Photoshoot - Phuket 16 Jul 09

Met Kai at airport and ate at staff canteen. We went in the plane quite late. In the plane we ordered chicken lasagne & green tea.

At the Phuket airport, there were a lot of ppl outside holding signage for transportation to Patong and other areas. Have to push through the whole lot of ppl to go to the taxi stand outside. The cab that we hired though the airport cab system have to stop at a shop that sells tour package. We declined as the package was quite expensive.

My impression on Deevana -

the atmosphere is quite good
the bellboys were friendly
served welome drink when reached.
we were ask to be seated while they are processing our check in
their receptionist came to the area that we were seated to brief us
upgraded our room from standard room to superior room and its connecting room
but had to walked quite far as it is towards the end of the hotel and the canal that is in front of the room is quite smelly.. luckily it didn't 'float' into our rooms.
the layout of the room is quite big and it has balcony that's facing the swimming pool
we were amazed by them using towels to make a elephant - its so cute!! cos we have 2 rooms so we put both together and to make it more cute, we placed our spectacles on them and place a orchid on one of them
there's a umbrella in every room and its quite big.
the breakfast that we had the few days were quite ok. only a few changes to the dishes

Me and Kai will take the twin bedded room whereas Zhiwei will take the double room. After taking some shots in the room, we went out for makan. There are a lot of currency changer at patong, you walked a few steps there will be one exchange and the rates are quite different. there is a small hawker outside. Ordered squid, seabass, brocoli, tomyam, pork with cashew nut, pineapple rice, heineken, fruit shake and mango shake. then after that we walked to Patong beach. we took refuge at Aspery hotel (Alda introduced this to us) as it started to rain heavily. The ppl there were quite friendly. they didn't chase us away, they even offer us a seat. its very closed to Patong

Luckily its just passing rain. No wonder the period from Apr - Oct is low season and the rooms are very very cheap. Then we walked to patong beach to take a few shots. were jumping and jumping!! hahaha... we realised Kai's shoes were not that suitable for beaches so we went around looking for shoes. The shops along the Patong beaches are selling almost the same things. there are quite a few cafes which have very good layout and furnishing. We took a sip at Lim Han cafe. Its a small cafe beside the beach TOILET!! hahaha.. you ask me why we choose there? too tired to find other cafes liao... hahahah... Then brought the pork sumurai burger from Mcdonald's. Realised that the signage of Mcdonald is black not the usual yellow that we see in SG.

Took tuk tuk back to hotel. but he ka tok us!!! 100 bht to go back to hotel. very expensive. However the driver Mr Pat, 081 - 7372308, is quite friendly so we booked him for whole day for our few days there.

Next MASSAGE!!!! How can come to Thailand without a massage!!!

We went to a shop nearby for our Massage and we took 2 hours!! Body and foot massage!! SHOIK!! hahaha... Even bargain with them on the price of the massage as we took 2 hours. But in the end will give back in tips cos the person massaging for us usually get the least amount so have to give to them in tips form lo...

Went back to hotel for a bath then sleep... but can't get to sleep... dunno why, the tsunami's event kept running in my mind - i was thinking what is the sound if the tsunami alert rung, where do they go?? can't get it off my mind, so i went over to ZW room to sleep since its connecting room, we open the connecting door... think he see me coming over he also shock hahaha... Maybe i'm not used to sleeping alone in an unfamiliar place ba... but luckily in his arms, i managed to catch some sleep otherwise the next day i take photo no prettty pretty liao hahaha...

Before the trip
We almost didn't make it for this trip cos of the H1N1. 2 weeks before our departure our companies had make it complusory that once you travel to the affected area, you would have to stay home for 7 days. though i can just go and just need to take 2 days leave but zw would have to take 7 days of leave... too much already hence we almost gave up the trip. luckily a few days later they cancel all the arrangement. hence Phuket here we come!!! though we are going on thursday but till monday, we have not made any arrangements for the accomodations. very headache.. cos we are thinking to get 2 room or 1 room with extra bed. in my mind, i have been thinking of 2 bedroom apartment or suite room. I nearly forgotten 2 connecting rooms.

After looking through the recommendation from other forumers, i have decided to go for Deevena Patong Resort & Spa. Went through the http://www.hotelclub.com/ to book the rooms. I booked 2 standard rooms at only $56 per room per night. So total my accomodation is $224.
I didn't pack for our trip earlier cos dunno if going a not hence we last minute then pack... Our last minute packing is 8.30am in the morning and check in time is 11am!! its so last minute!!! we are too tired with the packing the day before. hence push it to that same day.

After the trip
Our 心得 for this trip:

we will definitely go back AGAIN!! (hey hey, this is not said by me hor.. :) Its ZW!! Yeah can plan liao...)
it is really very relaxing to be able to 吹海风 but have to be under shade.. 因为我们晒太黑了。
it's quite tiring for photo taking a one whole shot of 4 days - 15 - 18 Jul 09.. Our mouths are aching!! But its fun... Think this is the first time that we kissed each other in the eye of others... and for them to take us!! hahaha... the only 遗憾 is i didn't put on make up for my trip... will it be very pale? not nice? but i trust Kai!! hahaha...
need to go during Apr to Oct.. otherwise its very expensive!!

Bridal shop Photoshoot - 15 July 09

Finally this day has arrived!!! I can't sleep the night before.. not in 最佳状态.

Woke up at 8.15am and bath. Was told to dry my hair completely as my hair very oily. I asked my mum to dried it for me.. hahaha.. too lazy to do it... need to reserve my energy.

Was running late already but CTE jam!!! dunno why it always jam.. 9 plus also jam... ok... enough of nagging..

Reached there at 10 sharp!!! no time for breakfast!!!

Begun makeup - Ophelia commented that my face and hair condition is better hahaha.... good good.. she brought along her student as well. i was glued to the chair for a good 1.5 hours before i changed into my evening gown then glued again for another half hour to make hair. When she was making my hair, i was like - later how can i comb my hair, sure 打死结。She also helped Zhiwei make his hair and apply some make up too... but not too 明显。

When we begin to take photos its already 12nn!! Zhiwei already waited until neck long long... got mood also become no mood liao.. hahaha... we took a few shots in studio then outside the shop... I already melted when we are out of the shop... What will happen when i'm out for outdoor shots!!!

In my earlier post i said i don't have much confident in my photographer (PG) but it seems that he prove me wrong a bit. hehehe.. He told us to pose here and there. Seen some of the shots, it's still quite ok.

We had lunch - chicken rice- before we went out for our outdoor shot and its 3 pm. Imagine how hungry we are.

When we are out for photoshoot, just outside our bridal shop there are ppl taking photos of us already. it seems quite weird but its fun. Like stars ... We even have one taking from their car and we can even see the flashing kept on going... hahaha...

We went Botanic Garden, Esplanade & Marina Barrage. Well what i can say is Botanic Garden and Marina Barrage are very common among couples, as we saw at least 3 couples taking their PS in each of the location. Esplanade is more different. When we are there, we were like centre of attraction and PG even went up to their roof garden of which we didn't even know that there is one there. As we walked back to carpark, PG even laid on the floor and start to get us around him and he begun to take pictures. i'm looking forward to that photo!!! What i can say of PG is he can be very excited when he got the feel. Kept snapping and getting us to pose.

Finally we ended our session at 7.30pm... Its been a long long day!!! One more thing off our mind!!

PHUKET here i come !!!!

心得

Its a long tiring day. But just felt that we didn't take photo of ourself when we are in different outfit. The wooden stool that we sat on is not that professional. The makeup didn't change throughout the whole session. but i'm pleased with my makeup. My mum didn't believe that's me!! The photoshoot location is quite common with wedding couple. But the Esplanade is one which i look forward to... Another note - its quite comfortable for me as i'm not wearing those high heels!!! I'm a bride running around in Slippers!!!

3rd gown fitting - 30 June 09

Took half day for my 3rd gown fitting... that's the final one before we take our photoshoot...

Was worried that i can't fit in the outdoor gown. cos that time still have a lot to alter so crossing my finger.

We discuss about the photoshoot location with the photographer. Wasn't too impressed with him though... maybe i met my AD photographer so have high expectation ba.. hai... Impression of him is dressed quite shabbily, not so humourous, can't get the scene going... Maybe i'm wrong about him... PROOF ME WRONG!!! hahaha... will see when we have our photoshoot.

My photoshoot locations are Esplanade, Botanic Garden and Marina Barrage. Think these few places are very common now... since we have our pre-wed shots, i am letting go of my bridal studio shots liao... no put emphasis on it liao... hehehe... very bad hor... Think no go for night shots liao... cos take more shots = more choices = more headache = more tendency to take up more photos

Someone said wedding shoots are more important then pre-wed cos that's when you are all dressed up and also that are the photos that we will be using to put on desktop... but normally you will just use your 'soft copy' for at most 1-2 years then will put more recent photo liao and the hard copy... you take out at most 10 times then it will be left there to collect dust... So now still thinking whether to pay another $1500 to get all the softcopy or just my 40 poses will do.. but another point of view, my pre-wed will just take us in normal wear not in wedding gowns... dunno if can ask Jess to let me lend the gown for fews days a not.. hahaha

lastly my gown!!! my outdoor gown!! Finally can wear liao... i was so happy that i can fit in !! So i have 5 attires for my shots!!! My AD WG, AD EG, Kua, outdoor gown and casaul attire!!

After my gown fitting, went makan with my parent at Goldenmile... My one of my FAVE food!!! Steamboat with Chicken RICE!!! nice.... hehehe..

Then after went to fetch Kai at Ubi then return to Thomson road for Tong Shui!!! hahaha..

We are discussing where to shoot for Pre-wedding
Actually my point was to shoot during the fireworks display during the fireworks festival

Kai talked about going to Desaru for durian buffet then it came to me that Desaru can put fireworks. hahaha... then after that we are into travelling topic liao... hahaha... then Kai persuade DD go for travelling shots... hahaha... at first Langkawi, cos airfare that time i see is cheap $2 for return trip lei.. hahaha... but the timing is Nov... too late liao... then Aug is $50 return trip then Kai hard to take leave.. then we look into her leave date 13 Jul - 19 Jul... then saw Phuket!!! $130 return trip...

Should be confirming tonight or tomolo for the air tix... hahaha... Phuket !! Here i come!!!! hehehe

2nd Gown Fitting - 9 June 09

Zhiwei went to buy a lavender shirt from Crocodile. It seem quite fitting and it makes him looks slimmer!!! hahaha... and it just cost $29!!! after deduction of my SMART dollars, its only $28.01!! hahaha faint.... the original price is $99!!!! smart girl right?? hahaha...

9 June 09
Went for my 2nd fitting. Was worried that i can't fit into my gown cos has been eating a lot recently hahaha....

Took leave on this day and went to Taka for lunch and also to buy his another shirt.. But no size...

We reach JHC at 3 plus. Rest for a while then start to try the gowns... Luckily still can fit in, but a bit tight... hahaha... have to gambatei liao... hahaha... my KUA!!! finally can fit in liao... with everything all zip up!! SHOIK!!!!

I will still need to shed inches for my outdoor gown.. hahaha...

My mum called. She say she wanted to see my gown... so asked her to take cab down lo...

When she reached... i changed into the gowns for her to see... before that i already forewarn Jess and DD that she will say all sort of rubbish except saying i'm still ok one... As expected, she said... not nice.. no good ... BINGO!!! Jess's face black black.. hahaha... then i jus told her it is as expected ... hahaha.. Cos you know why my mum wants to talk like that?? She wanted me to slim down and to fit into nice gowns... no slim not nice... hai... She said she wanted her daughter to be looking good on the Wedding Day itself!! but her daughter BU ZHENG QI.. hahaha.. The more you want me to do it, the more i will rebel!! hahaha

My next fitting is on 30th June... need to shed off by then.... tell me.. what should i DO!!! hahahah... just do nothing!! hahaha..

It was a 巧合 to meet Kai. We were walking around in Suntec and there's a bridal show on Feb so we go KPOing. Actually Kai was helping out Chris in the show and she is his 2nd photographer at that point of time. So we talk for a while then Chris attended to us. Chris is good but was out of our budget. Then i emailed to Chris for Kai. Kai contacted us and do you know what?? she remembered us, due to our big candy floss!!! hahaha was eating at Joaqium downstairs, the candy floss is BIG and CHEAP!! hahaha...

At first i thought she would just call and make an appointment with us to view her works but in the end we chatted for almost half hour. well if you put 2 ladies together, you will know what will happen... hahaha

After much delay (there were so much 'hurdle' when we set the timing for meeting up - zw's shift, her relative wedding, then laptop spoilt), we finally met up on 7 May to view her works at her house. her house was so cosy and her dad very 健谈 and her 3 dogs!!!! Wow!!! at first she asked whether i'm afraid of dogs then i told her i have 2 dogs and then she told me she have 3!!!

When we are in her room, she off the lights cos she say very romantic.. hahaha .. after viewing a few photos, we started talking and suaning each other. In the end we are "stuck" at her house for 3 hours!! hahaha... we only spent half hour talking about official things and then the rest of the time... talk cocking... hahaha...

We told her we needed time to think... we called her on 9 May asking whether can reduce her price a bit a not... hahaha.... as expected - Cannot la!! hahaha... but we feel that its ok... you know Singaporeans like to ask for discounts even though sure no discounts... Jus ask for fun.. hahaha.. We told her we will get back to her on that night...

Its her birthday the next day so i sent her a birthday message on 02.41 10 May as follows : Hey Kai, happy brithday! here's a present for you! Remember to leave 13th dec for us.. hehehe..

She replied that she is waiting for our message until neck long long. thought we dun wan liao.. hahaha

At least this is settled liao... 1 more thing off load!!

Our thoughts of her:
- very outgoing & "三八" oops... we are the same too !! hahaha
- do her research before going for a wedding
- zw clicks well with her then at that time he won't be so stiff
- her photography style suits what i want - journalistic - we dun like to pose and pose and pose, we like more natural 表情.
- her frankness - very straightforward person
- with her around we are more relaxed
- have to think of my 兄弟s. she's still available!! hahaha

3 May 09 - Gown Fitting cum 7th Anniversary!!

Its our 7th anniversary!!

So i scheduled the gown fitting this day so that he will take leave no matter what... hahaha

We packed all the things that we need to bring and reached JHC at 1pm.
Started my trial makeup. Was overwhelmed by the things that the MUA brought...

When she do my eyebrow, i was like... Shit!!! Macdonald eyebrow!! then the eyes... dark dark one... hahaha quite negative hor... but no choice i dun put on makeup one so dunno whether good or not... then the whole makeup comes out okok... hehehe... but then later in the night, i become panda liao... cos i was sweating all over... hahaha...

my MUA says my hair oily quite hard to make it maintain the shape... hai... then i was advise to find indoor photoshoot location as i will MELT in the sun... we shall see how ba...

Then i tried my MTM gown...

Hmm... the accessories are not sewn on yet hence its just a simple gown.

The thing i like the best is my evening gown... my tail!! SO nice...

Next is the KUA... that time i tried... top cannot bottom can... now.... top can bottom cannot.... wah... me so sad!!!! Have to work hard!!!

My 2nd fitting on 9 June afternoon.

After all the fittings, we went on our 二人世界。At first wanted to go Equinox but their set dinner so expensive!!! 340++ per pax!! so next we thought of Swissotel Merchant Court their Ellenbourgh Market Cafe. Total price is $90. If HSBC got 15%, but that's the card that we dun have... I felt its a bit less variety but the fish is one whole big big fish NICE!! their crayfish they say is their speciality but nothing too fantastic... but everytime it comes out it will be gone!! ppl are getting it piles by piles... see already also sian half... ZW say their oyster very nice... dunoo from which country... Their dessert is the best!! Durian puree, orr nee & Mango longan sago ....

Was too full to walk !!!! hahaha... by the time i went back and start clearing my makeups its already 12!! too tired!!!

then it rain very heavy so just have to stay at our car when we are receeing the Yishun - near the singtel there... there's a road opp the condo.. didn't take photo there...

then we went to Kallang cosy bay... its still drizzling so didn't take photo. Marina golf course is the next one. got couple went there to take before but when at there cannot go into the greens so no choice this is out. next is anothing road at tanjong rhu. walked along the river then saw this scenary. but nothing much to take actually

Its Valentine's Day!!!

Knowing we don't have much program so I just arrange it on V Day so that at least we have something to do and make it a more meaningful day!! hahaha...

Before this day, i went to gather a few magazine and cut out the gowns that i like.

When we are there, Jess still have one customer so we just look around and see whether got any 'inspiration'. I tried on 2 gowns to see whether i am suitable for halter neck or spagetti. A bit sian as zw didn't take photo of me!!!!

We sat down with Jess to discuss. She just draw it out and show to me then we make amendments from there... hai ... seems like no contribution hor... My cut outs are not in use as well. There goes my hard work. After negiotiating finally my evening gown got my ribbon tail!! hahaha... good good... dun wan to upload here. let you all have surprize when you see me!! hahaha..

We ask Jess to make his shirt for mandarin collar as well. only $60. Seems cheap as he might not be able to buy one which is suitable to his size and it might be more expensive.

HE PROPOSED!!

ON DECEMBER 7th 2008 around 3 plus, He proposed!!

Well if you ask me what date is this, I DUNNO!!! hahaha...

Actually after that he told me that he intend to propose on 13 Dec 08 but can't cause i can't go travelling on that period and he will have to work on 13 Dec if he comes for 6-8 Dec trip. Hai.. So another date parking on my head liao... hahaha..

So how did he do it... hmm... actually not that romantic though... Still remember the previous post on he fell flat on the bed and i went soaking in the bath tub?? He waited outisde the toilet till i finished. I opened the door and found him outside, i saw he was hiding something behind his back but i didn't expect it to be my proposal RING!!

I was shocked as i thought he would just hold on the proposal till our wedding is over then he no need to propose already. AND still remember my bangkok trip?? I thought he would propose on my Birthday but he did not!! Which is why all my expectation gone to the drain when i'm back from Bangkok. I didn't expect him to bring the ring with him as i dun even know when he open the drawer and took the ring...

As he was already very sick, he clumsily kneel with one leg and show me the ring. Then he say some words but it doesn't get into me as i am in tears already. After that i ask him what did he say, he tell me forgot liao... Can like that one meh!!! With this, i think i can request for a re-proposal right?? hahaha...

Thought can have a romantic dinner after that but he's too sick so we just went to ta bao back our dinner. The next day, we went Pavilion and went into Soo Kee. They helped me wash my ring. i think they are providing this service to their Soo Kee customers especially Brilliant Rose customers. hahaha...

Well in all, there's still room for improvement!!

KL Trip 6-8 Dec 08

We booked everything last minute for this trip think 3 or 4 Dec then decided going for this free and easy trip (everything we book by ourself). We rushed to Goldenmile to book bus ticket to KL. It is relatively a new bus company Starmart sub branch of Air asia and return ticket will be another bus.. forgot what is the name already... dunno what susanna one.

boarded the bus at 8am at Goldenmile and we are stuck in the stupid jam at Tualink for more then 4 hours. By the time we are cleared at the Malaysia Custom it is already almost 1pm. The waiting is unbearable... And by the time we reached KL it is already 6pm already!! With this time frame we can almost reached Penang already!!!!!! Quickly went to Berjaya Times Square (BTS) to eat, didn't know what to eat and in the end we settle for Marybrown.

We actually booked a room through Starmart. The boss booked a Tiara Inn (if i'm not wrong) for us but when we reached there we are too tired. So we went to Orkid Hotel it is already 7.30pm RM128 for a Deluxe Room got window. The room was quite small and the air isn't that fresh either but since we have already taken this room so bo pian. We switch on the TV and found that they are airing "Love or Bread" by Ariel Lin and Joseph Chang. I'm so happy though i have seen that 1st episode already but at least its airing in Malaysia. When will it be Singapore turn....

Left hotel for some shopping. Went to BTS and found the shop (YSL Sportstation) that we went to previously still open so we brought a few shorts cos we didn't bring much. We went to metrojaya and saw a pair of wedding bears and quite cheap. it is only RM39.90 so we add it to our list as well. Walked around then went to the cinema to book ticket for "BOLT" for 11pm show. Since it is still early, we cheong to our next destination!!! THE BAK KUT TEH!!!! our craving and main motive for travelling to KL. Dunno the chinese shop name. But in the receipt it is written Emperor Capital SDN BHD with address No. 35-39 Medan Imbi, 55100 KL. It should be there la... Ate the bak kut teh, san bei chicken, and a lot more... SHOIK!! fulfilling!!

Then we went to parkroyal hotel to ask whether got room for the next day cos we don't think will stay in Orkid Hotel liao... no more room... so we borrow the telephone book from the concerige to check the hotels nearby. In the end the Dorsett Regency Hotel is the cheapest among the rest (RM300++). For your info, that timing is the peak season so all hotels jake up the price and the hotels that we are looking for is 4 star and above.

Then back to the movie, BOLT!! Quite a funny show actually. cute cute one... when it is over it around 1 plus already. Went back to sleep and prepare for our more beautiful room at Dorsett.

Went for our morning breakfast but its not that nice, we just ate the susage and the egg then we left for our DIM SUM!! Restoran Teochew just beside BTS. Ate a few dishes only cos zw not feeling very good. Then went to our Kueh Ling Gao store also just beside the restoran teochew!!

Then took cab to Dorsett. Can't check in cos still early so we went to the malls nearby to see see look look. ZW is begining to feel sick (fever) and tired so we went back to the hotel to see whether the room is ready. Waited for half an hour or so, they change us to another room which is ready. ZW fell flat on the bed when we reached. Then let him rest while i soak in the bath tub. Then he done something that i have been waiting for.... tell you in the next post. Then after resting till around 5 plus we went out to Chee Qiong Gei for the wedding shop to buy some wedding stuff.

In the end only brought the stickers then we brought dinner back to hotel to makan... brought my bak kua as well but not that nice didn't like the taste.

watch tv show till late at night. ZW's fever didn't subside so i have to wet the towel and help him to wipe his body to lower the temperature. throughout the night i didn't sleep much cos have to look after him and i didn't dare to go down to buy medicine for him cos its quite far.

Luckily he recover slightly the next day. so we went for breakfast at a hongkong cafe around Sungei Wang but not that nice. Then went for secret recipe!!! but they didn't have our lamb shank... Its cheaper to eat in Malaysia then in Singapore. so we ate their cake!! then we walked around The Pavilion. Went into the Coach store and saw a resort pink bag very nice. limited edition but very expensive $1000 plus... hehehe.. we went back to check out from the hotel and place our bag with the conceirge then went out to walk again. since our bus is leaving at 6pm at puduraya bus station, we left our hotel at 5pm, took cab there, checked in liao then went over to starbucks for a drink and brought mac just in case hungry.

our seat was taken up by a auntie and her grand daughter. Then i ask her whether could i see her ticket whether did i went to the wrong seat. Her daughter rushes over and talked loudly that they are seating at the correct place and said that our ticket got cancellation mark and say we cancel it. the stupid mark is made by the ticket operator not us!! super fed up... Typical Singaporean!!! Then we just walked down and talk to the person in charged. in the end we are being arranged to sit downstair. We just let go of the thing as we are also tired of arguing too.. By the time we reached Singapore, its already 1am liao... super tired...

The bus that we took back has quite a few things which we are quite satisfied. hmm... waiter on board, hot meals as there are microwave, games, massager and it doesn't stop at Goldenmile, it stopped at my banquet hotel!! Parkroyal @ Kitchener. so we don't need to line up with others to catch a cab.

BKK (Day 8) Sep 27 LAST DAY!!

8 days passes so quickly!! today last day already... suddenly feel like dun want to go back so fast.. hahaha.. contridicting woman right hahaha

Went for breakfast... eaten so many days of american breakfast. We didn't eat much, firstly is eat until sian already, secondly we have our spa waiting for us!!

We checked out 1st then place our luggage with the concerige then went for our spa.

Since this is our 1st time, it feels weird to have someone bathing for you. and we have to bare it all to that person. Though we are in separate rooms but its weird la... hehehe...

then we have facial too... at least this one better then the one i had in pratunam center.

Then massage!!!! wow this massage lagi best ar!!!! like king and queen. even though its just foot reflexlogy and shoulder,back massage. you have someone doing your foot and another one doing your back at the same time!!! wah... very shoik!!!!

After spa, went to Indra Regent food court for lunch. then brought 1 dress for Ting Ting. Thought of buying that for my wedding for Ting Ting to wear.. very sweet dress. Then we took cab to airport and it cost 300 baht. Its cheaper then Ah Wee's cab fare. Hahaha...

Then at airport makan Burger King to dispose those lose change.

Had a bad experience with my air carrier.

When i collect my luggage at Changi Airport, found that there are a few luggage bags sealed up with red tape and stated as fragile of which my luggage is one of the sealed up as well. So fed up... my precious bag. it been with me to so many places and it is still working fine and this stupid Air carrier spoilt my bag... the zipper 's side came off and can't put thing already... so sian...

will put up a complaint with the air carrier and claim from my travel insurance!!!

My bag... my pitiful bag!!!!!

However overall travel experience is good. Though spent a few thousand but at least we have relaxed enough and done our shopping for the polo tees. Good harvest!!

Counting down 1 more day to return to SG... Suddenly have this kind of feeling wanting to go back soon... hai... stayed too many days already... hahaha you must be thinking... "wah let you go for trip still complain of wanting to go back to SG".. hai... you dunno my feelings la...

As usual went for breakfast at 8++ am. Then we went to the observation deck again. Now its day time... the view is still as good and the atmosphere is totally different and its very sunny too!! Then we went to take some photo at their souvenir shop (brought a nip glass too!!) and at another observation deck. Went to a photo sketching machine and sketch. its quite cheap. In total 4 picture cost only 160 baht.. below $8 !!! Should have taken more hor... hahaha

Curiosity kills our pocket!! the idea of spa kept wandering in my mind for so long so we went down to Baiyoke sky spa to check out the pricing. Zhiwei seeing that i'm so disappointed yesterday he took up 2 spa packages for us to relax... but to me, it doesn't really matter liao.. its already over... super sad hor... hai...

We went to take our polo tees from Kovac. the tees are really very nice and the materials are quite good as well.. Went back to hotel to try on the tees... a bit fitting but still ok la...

Then we walk to find fishing rods that is on the other side of baiyoke that we didn't walked before. But we can't find that shop. So we gave up and took cab to pratunam to see the newly arrival of dresses... hehehe... quite nice dresses... brought quite a few too!!!!

Then went for massage again... But this time round i regreted going for it!!!! I took face massage but in the end it is facial!!!! stupid right?? should have said facial instead ma... zhiwei went for oil massage but he said very shoik lei... so sian... but they also didn't state properly. After having the facial, my face a bit itchy itchy... and they put powder on me.. hai... should have told them dun put for me... Nvm its an experience... at least next time i know that face massage = facial for Thais...

On the way back, we went to change $$... Went back to hotel, rest for a while then went for the welcome drink in Baiyoke Sky . We went down to packet dinner up to makan... got KFC, Wanton mee, fried chicken, mangos, pomelo, a lot a lot!! The mango was so nice that ZW went down and buy up the whole lot of mangos.... SHOIK!!!!

Suddenly feel that packing up our luggage was so sian cos have to squeeze everything into it... my bag!!!!

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Maybe i expected too much, i think today was just so - so only nothing special... Actually i should be contended to be able to come for this trip and it is 8 D 7 N trip... this is my birthday present!!! However Once expectation is high, disappointment will be high as well.. hai..

Woke up at 8.30 for breakfast, our 1st breakfast at Baiyoke Sky 76th floor. The breakfast was worth commenting. imagining the whole circumference was lay out with food for you to choose... the view, no need to say, so nice so beautiful!!! After the breakfast we went back to hotel to see show.. I realised in BKK the HBO quite a lot of good shows lei.. hehehe... Then we took the shuttle to Siam again... Walked around Siam, MBK then ate lunch at Sizzler!!!

At MBK we went to print stickers for our wedding invitation cards and developed some photos too!!

After that we took BTS to Sala Deang for night pasar malam. It is at Patphong. the girls wasn't that beautiful nothing much...

The people selling thing there are quite hard selling their product. We stopped to ask the price of 1 leather bag and they quote 900. we think its not worth it so we left. Then the salegirl hold on to zhiwei and dun let go. kept saying we are the 1st customer, so have to get this bag sold. we bargain from 900 to 400 baht. hehehe What an accomplishment !!! hahaha

Finally saw the shop that we are familiar that zhiwei can buy his basketball shorts.. brought quite a few too...

My dinner was Double fish burger meal!!!! Mcdonalds!!! Wah... a bit sad hor to eat Mcdonalds on my bday but not much choice left. The more i look at the fries then more my tears wants to drop... hai... Its too late in the night to eat those restaurant liao...

Then we took cab back to hotel.

Another day to my Birthday!!!! Anticipating and anticipating...

Woke up at 915am for breakfast then went back to pack and check out from Baiyoke Boutique.

We checked in at Baiyoke Sky and our room was 6403!!!! its 64 floor!!! so exciting!!

The room was quite weird in shape cos got 2 columns but the view was superb!!! imagining the whole BKK city under your feet!! This is the type of enjoyment that i looked for!!!

Went to Chinatown to buy wedding stuff and to eat GOOSE meat!!! Our favorite!!! Walked quite a few streets but didn't managed to find much wedding stuff so just brought some ang baos and the XI .

Then we took pratunam, platinum mall (to buy the things that we missed our yesterday) then lastly went to pratunam center for 2 hour massage!! FOOT & THAI MASSAGE!!!

Lastly went internet cafe to check mail and MSN!!! my craving!!

Guess what we ate for dinner!!! MAGGI MEE!!! nothing much to eat near our hotel all is road side stall, scare my stomach upset so no choice eat maggi mee in hotel!!! Soaked in bathtub!! super shoik...

Yea!!! Wee finally going back liao... no more walking liao!!!

Slept a little later, woke up at 815am and suspose to meet them at 9am!! gobbled through our breakfast. Nothing fantastic for the breakfast at Baiyoke Boutique but maybe that's becos i had the same breakfast everyday!! Went window shopping at Indra Regent.

Thai massage again!!! they are so cute in pyjamas... When did i last wear my pyjamas ar???

Went to KFC for lunch then relax at wee's room before checking out. Wee's cab fare was 400 baht!!

After sending them we went back to hotel to rest... We slept for 3 hours then head down to Platinum mall for shopping but this time, we slowly glanced through the things liao... too tired...

We walked to Eastin to check out the spa rates... Eastin changed a lot. This is our hotel that we stayed for our 1st trip to BKK.

Ate 'satay' along the way and it is very delicious!!! At 1st, i don't dare to eat cos scare later my stomach upsets again but once its in your mouth you can't stop!!! hahahaha... drooling already...

Too tired to walk back we took tuk tuk back to hotel.

Today is a very relaxing day!!! hahaha

Having Monday Blues?? Not for 22 Sept!! Cos I'm NOT WORKING!! Holidaying and enjoying ourselves... Only problem is that we have to wake up early to accompany wee they all go tailor shirt then come back to Indra Regent for our polo tees..

Woke up at 6.30am for breakfast at Sky Lounge!! Our last day in Baiyoke Suite so have to take more photos hehehe... Look at us... super shag already!!! walked too much this few days...

Return to room to get ready for checkout!! Placed our luggage with Wee then we went to Ploenchit. Susposed to be very fast but taxi went wrong way then stuck in the stupid jam... half my face and my left arm became black after exposing to sun light that shine through the taxi... The tailor (Pinky tailor, behind Manhanttan Plaza or Mall) was quite fast in measuring their size and coming up with their design.

Next we rush back to Indra Regent to meet up with Pom. Thought of adding some more alphabets but it will add more $$. So idea aborted.. hahaha.. Finally confirmed our polo tee. Checked in to Baiyoke Boutique Hotel but the room 821 wasn't ready so view it later on. Ate desserts and tako pachi at Indra Regent before we took the shuttle bus to Siam Discovery. There was a display of motors at the atrium of Siam discovery.. So CUTE!!

Ate Mcdonald's for lunch at MBK and saw commotion outside the Mcdonald's. A brunch of guys with parangs running after 2 guys just outside MBK main road. Wah very happening!!!! so scare later they come in by the Mcdonald's door. Then where to run? I am in an enclosed area and the exit of the area is at the entrance of the door... Police came 5-10 mintues after the commotion. We went shopping in MBK but came out with nothing... (now a bit more expensive lo)

We walked back to Indra Regent of which i regreted it cos it is very very far!!!!

Past by Asia Hotel (the hotel that we originally booked) , nothing fantastic, not tall, it wasn't near MBK (need to take BTS)

We walked for at least 1/2 hour to reached Platinum Mall where Wee and Alfred went shopping again. Went into the shopping mall beside Platinum Mall for toilet break but saw A&W !!! my favorite A&W float!!! Went back to hotel to refresh ourselve before meeting wee at Baiyoke Sky 82nd flr Crystal Grill for buffet makan.. Its quite expensive 620 baht but the view was superb!!! The dinner was ok if you are a carnivore!!! hehehe...

The meal came with a free observation deck view. It is at 84 flr , the top floor. The deck was an open air concept and with 360 degrees rotating view!!! Was trying to tape down the 360 rotating view of BKK night scene but camera no batt so can only depend on Wee camera. The air was fresh when we are up there and at certain angles the wind was so strong and cold that we saw quite a lot of ladies trying to hold down their dresses... slurp slurp... hahaha.. We went 3 rounds then went back to wee room to get our luggage back to our room.

After that went for massage.. All of us was so tired that we fell asleep while being massage!! SO SHOIK!!! by the time we went back to our room its already 12mn!!

ITS SUNDAY!!! We are meeting at around 10am to go to Chatuchak so we woke up at 730am to prepare and went for breakfast at 43 floor!! Shoik!! Morning BKK is just as beautiful as night time. While we are waiting for wee, we saw this sign and came to a conclusion-'BKK's pickpockets will only be on action on Sunday only'.

This is the hotel sign that states which floor has which restaurant!!

Then we took a cab to Chatuchak weekend market. Walked around searching for Wee's 'leather mousepad' and JD's 'heartgard'. Saw Zhiwei's favorite!! BLUE PRAWNS!! His hand very itchy for prawn fishing liao hahaha. Isn't this dog very cute????? The dress that it is wearing very girl girl hor!!!

Then we took cab to Phloen Chit for Alfred's tailor but no open then we walked to Central,Chitlom - The Loft for lunch. Then walked to Pratunum Centre for foot massage!! Super shoik!!!

We went on separate ways as we need to find a shop to custom make our polo tees and wee wants to go shopping!!

Walked back to Indra Regent to walk around for a customise shop for polo tee then we chanced upon a shop, Kovac Hills, and went in cos the boss, Kovac, is a Negerian and he knows English!! It makes communication a lot more easier. After discussing the design and the price, we were told to come back to the shop tomorrow to meet his wife, Pom, to finalise the tees.

So we meet up at 8.15pm at World Trade Centre. Its on Wee's treat so we went to eat a time buffet at Shabushi. Meaning we are given a specific time to eat our food, if exceed then add money. So weird. Thanks Wee and Alfred for my advance birthday present (the buffet)!!

Outside the restaurant there is these figurines... very cute but weird position though...

Went to pick Wee up to my place then took cab to airport.

Chee Chee and Winnie were there to send us as well. We ate burger king before proceeding to check in. My bag was 16.8kg!!! hahaha Imagine the weight when we come back to SG.

Happily we headed towards the departure gate!! We will NOT miss Singapore!!! Hahaha... Don't miss us too much!! We be back soon!!!

After reaching BKK, we headed straight to hotel. As Wee is staying at Baiyoke Sky and we are at Baiyoke Suite, we wanted to get the cab to send us to our hotels but 2 location will cost twice the taxi amount. Then we alight at Baiyoke Sky then walked over to Baiyoke Suite. Our room number is 336, on the 33rd flr!! but room was a bit old and weird.

We meet up at the Sky Lounge @ 43 floor Baiyoke Suite for dinner, our usual place to chill out. The atmosphere and the scenary was still the same. Beautiful!!!

Do you know what's happening below? Wee went to take Wasabi for Zhiwei but he took the wasabi for Zhiwei in a big plate and took a bit of sauce only. See that plate with just a bit of wasabi.

There's a balcony outside the restaurant. So we went out to take some photos.

After makan, we went downstairs to walk around then brought some drinks to wee room. Then after that we rest for the day. Too tired liao.

Finally, we had decided on L Box Wedding Productions, Louis Sim as our Videographer on 31 July 2008.

Had only seen 2 VGs then we fixed our eye on L Box!!

His works are fantastic and also within our budget as well!! We like the uniqueness of his montage & highlights. hmm.. GOOD DEAL!!

He doesn't put up his works online for others to see. So might need to book an appointment with him to view his works.

Our Wedding date is 13 Dec 09!!!!

Went to calculate our wedding dates on 18 May 08. At first we wanted our anniversary to be our wedding date but shifu say not good for wedding so bo pian. He has given us 3 dates, 14.06.09, 20.09.09, 13.12.09.

20.09.09 of course is tempting cos easy to remember but our hotel ballroom already booked liao so no choice left 2. June will be out for us cos too hot. Dec will be good.

What is needed from us for the calculation:
Our date of birth (preferably in chinese calender, if not he can also see from his book.)
Our time of birth
Our parent's animal.
Preferred date (if any)

Gave a hongbao of $28. And have to go back to him to calculate the An Chuang & the Guo Da Li date.

What's makes us consider this place:

Good comments on food
Don is flexible
Near LRT (Farrer Park)
Bridal room is beautiful
Price is just right on our budget
Hotel has just renovated recently so everything is quite new
The toilet on the ballroom area is very big and clean
Liked the favours (shot glass!!)
Not in CBD area. Unlikely to have traffic jam

What's stopping us?

It is just beside Mustafa so it might be too crowded at night
Not too many comments on this hotel (maybe its good news too)
Guest might go to the wrong Parkroyal as there is one more at Beach road
Pillars in the ballroom
The ceiling a bit low

How did we know about this place?

Was at the parkroyal hotel bridal show, 4 May 08, at beach road and PR @ KR set up a counter over there as well. At first didn't have good impression on PR @ beach rd. Then we decide to walk one round and go back. Then we came into this room where it features all the set up from PR @ KR.

Don approaches us and we had a run through on the benefits. Well the first thing it attracted us is the pricing!! For yr 2009 pricing, we have seen so many packages this is one of the cheapest that i can find. Don't ask me how much is that. Check with Don please. And if possible mention that i recommend you to go. Hahaha.... At first we have reservation to see this place as its at the little indian. You know ppl will have this thinking "Oh little indian ar. Sure very cheapo and a lot of Indians moving around" then we manage to get rid of this stupid idea and go with a free mind, no obligation. After the bridal show, we drove over to PR @ KR to recce the venue and Jamie was there receiving us. Had a great time looking around and even won a lunch buffet voucher.

We didn't decide on the spot. Went back, talk to both parents on the cons of the place and even brought WL mum to recce the place on 9 May 08. Approval chopped. We made an appointment with Don on the 10 May 08. We were late for the appointment and he has to wait for us for 1 hour. So paiseh. Went for breakfast, confirmed the package and paid $3K using UOB credit card (cos got free 1 tbl if use this card).

Finally after so long, i passed my TP!!! So happy!!

My driving experience:
21 Oct 07 - Started my driving lesson.
10 Mar 08 - Failed my private driving lesson. Spent $1550
14 Mar 08 - Signed up with BBDC
25 Mar 08 - Started my 1st driving lesson with BBDC and it is from 12 - 10pm, the longest that i drive in a day. Thereafter everyday is 6-11pm with BBDC.
11 Apr 08 - Completed all the requirements, awaiting for test date with some revision.
24 Apr 08 - My TP date and passed with 16 demerit points. Spent $1600.

Total expenditure : $3150

After this, more expenditure to come for my lambomini.... to renew road tax, insurance, vicom, fuel consumption.
