Went to ASA to confirm the Silkair tickets to Phuket!! going on 15 Dec night and returning on 20 Dec morning!! YEAH!!! looking forward to it. our price for the ticket is 244 per pax. Brought insurance as well - AIG -> $27 per pax!!
Next is the hotel room!! Booked Mercure Patong Hotel for 15-17 Dec as its quite cheap 5104 baht around. Still looking around for a better hotel for 17-20 Dec stay!!!

Finally got back the shots of out Phuket trip!! It's worth it!! Though i need to change the format of the photo of which i haven't done it yet!! still can't get the software to do it..

3rd/4th version of Ablum layout - 27/31 Oct 09
Finally gotten all the layout from Jess but still need edit. They just follow my design without adding some more effect!! Dunno if the person dun have the standard or they just lazy to do it?? Put the wording so light how to see...
We went down to Jess again to finalise the updates and she still need time to get back to me.. hai.. maybe i should do it hor..
Receive the updates of the Ablum layout from Jess. It seem much better!! Hence we confirmed on 1 Nov. so waiting for her to get back to us when she print the hardcopy.

Food Tasting - 30 Oct 09
Met up with Ganesan to collect the invitation cards and to ask questions on 15 Oct. then 22 Oct sent him confirmation on the food tasting.
30 Oct = 1st meeting between both families cum food tasting
I thought we are going to be serve in a private room but we are being seated in the middle of the restaurant with a few noisy tables around us. and they won't allow us to bring in wine and wanted to charge corkage. we brought along this wine is to see whether it match with what the hotel provides on our actual day. since we brought it might as well open it to drink. I called ganesan and for them to settle on it. 1st impression - not so good.
At first service was prompt, after that our plates are not really cleared on time and our plates are full with prawn shells and fish bone then they change for us.. Car park coupon only give us 1 pcs. i have 3 cars with me how to use 1 pc. then i call ganesan again. he came down with the coupons and we told him about our remarks on the food. and they did not serve the red bean paste as promise. make us so sian..
Overall : the food are not that fantastic.. just so - so but what to do.. budget ma. quantity not a lot. my in laws ate liao then come which is why is enough.
Our menu:
cold plate - chestnut rolls, baby octopus, spring roll, prawn salad, shark fin omelete
remarks : will be changing the omelete as cannot see much shark fin and 1st impression was : how come serve egg??
Braised Shark Fin
remarks : become watery after drinking few sips of the soup but the shark fin really can see.
Roasted Crispy Chicken
remarks : its quite bloody. not well cooked
Steam fish in thai sauce
remarks : quite unique. taste a bit like tom yam. not bad
Steam live prawn
remarks : ate a few not so fresh prawns
Mushroom with spinach
reamrks : taste is just nice.
Lotus leaf rice
remarks : taste is just nice.
Mango pudding
remarks : nothing fantastic - will change it to yam paste (add $$)

Met up with Steven on Sunday. Feel a bit pai seh cos he is not working on sunday is just because zhiwei won't be available hence he would have to meet us on Sunday. Steven is very experience in handling these invitation card. It didn't took us long to confirm the layout!!
We settle on our insert - 200 pcs + tied up + golden string + 1 icon + GST = $112.35
Sent the invitation card to him on 16 Oct.
We confirmed the wordings and have received it on 29 Oct. Starting to collate the names!!!
